Belarusian Memorial Chapel

The project designed by Spheron’s Tszwai is already started.

The Belarusian Memorial Chapel is being built dedicated to the memory of the victims of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster,in Finchley, north London and the project is funded by the Holy See of Rome.

The foundation of the chapel is now completed, and on 7th Feb, there will be a small ceremony to lay the cornerstone.

The chapel is expected to be completed in Autumn, and they are planning to have some commemorating events in April for the 30th Anniversary of Chernobyl.

The church is built next to the famous Belarusian homes in north London, a library named Skarina Marian House. The project combines elements of modern architecture and traditional architecture of Belarusian temples.

We hope see soon the results of this nice project!
