Princess of Asturias Award 2016

 

Last April 26th, FEDASIB Spain, as we already told you , presented the candidacy to the Princess of Asturias 2,016 prize, in the categorie Concord, for the Heroes of Chernobyl. We will know in September the decision of the jury, so it is now when we ask you for the last effort to support this candidacy.

This support will be specially appreciated in terms of the importance of the institutions and relevant people within the national scope of each of your countries, and as well in international level.

We ask you to spread and get signs in the Accession document 1 or Accesion document 2 , and then send it to IBB. Like this we will add to the documentation that we seek to aggrandize the Candidacy.

No doubt get this award will be the biggest endorsement and support of our dear friends the liquidators of Chernobyl, as well as an undeniable recognition of his heroism and saviors of the rest of Europe.

 



 

 

The Princess of Asturias Foundation convenes the Princess of Asturias Awards, which are presented at an academic ceremony held each year in Oviedo, capital of the Principality of Asturias. The Foundation’s aims are to contribute to extolling and promoting those scientific, cultural and humanistic values that form part of the universal heritage of humanity and to consolidate the existing links between the Principality of Asturias and the title traditionally held by the heirs to the Crown of Spain.

HM King Felipe VI has been the Honorary President of the Foundation since its creation in 1980. Following his proclamation as King of Spain on 19th June 2014, HRH Leonor de Borbón y Ortiz, Princess of Asturias, is now the Honorary President of this institution which annually convenes the Princess of Asturias Awards.

Aimed at rewarding the scientific, technical, cultural, social and humanitarian work carried out at an international level by individuals, institutions or groups of individuals or institutions, they are granted in eight categories: the Arts, Literature, Social Sciences, Communication and Humanities, Technical and Scientific Research, International Cooperation, Concord and Sports.
